Rawhide consistently sires progeny that typically excel in the calving ease traits, but at the same time sires big-bodied, moderate framed cattle with great dispositions. He has a very balanced epd profile that lends itself well to our program, and we have liked what we’ve seen so far.

Prolific is definitely a power bull and is the sire of possibly the best bull calf we have ever raised. We like the stoutness, foot quality and performance he represents, but are also excited about the maternal side of the equation. His dam is one of the leading donors in the Ellingson herd with an exceptional udder and depth of body. We liked him so well we purchased a Paternal brother, Ellingson Powerline 2091,with progeny also present in this year’s sale.

Commerce is a bull that is thick made, easy fleshing, has a massive center body, and excellent performance. He excels in carcass merit traits as well as the maternal side of the equation. He is intriguing on the calving ease side of things and should make some really nice females.

Boomerang is continuing to make a mark on our herd in the females that we have retained. He is a carcass and index improver, and while his daughters have that distinct angus look, his sons rise to the top of the pen when sale day rolls around. His fleshing ability is outstanding and he is about as docile as you can make one.
